Pelvic Floor Health for Men
While we’re using the term men here for simplicity, this information may apply to anyone with a prostate or who experiences erectile or pelvic floor-related challenges—regardless of gender identity.
Pelvic health isn’t just a women’s issue. It’s time we start talking openly about how it impacts men—especially when it comes to things like erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, and prostate-related issues.
Next week, I’m bringing in Deanna, an Occupational Therapist who specializes in pelvic floor therapy for men, orthopedic conditions, and neurological rehab. We’ll be having a real, grounded conversation about what’s actually going on when things aren’t working the way you’d like—and what you can do about it.
We’re covering:
• Erectile dysfunction (ED)—what causes it and what can help
• Premature ejaculation—why it happens and how to improve control
• Delayed ejaculation—often overlooked, but just as frustrating
• Prostate health—early signs of issues, and how to take care of it
Why This Matters—Even If You’re Under 55
Most of the men I work with are in their 30s, 40s, or early 50s. They’re healthy, active, and surprised to be dealing with things like sudden changes in erections, tension in their hips or pelvic floor, or feelings of disconnect during sex.
Sometimes these issues creep in gradually. Other times they hit all at once. Either way, it can feel confusing, isolating, and hard to talk about.
But here’s the truth: pelvic floor dysfunction is common, and treatable. Especially when you catch it early.
Preventative Care and Recovery
We’ll talk about what early warning signs to look out for, and what “normal” actually looks like (hint: most people have no idea). We’ll cover treatment options—ranging from simple lifestyle changes and physical therapy to pelvic floor relaxation or strengthening work—and what recovery typically looks like.
Whether you’re looking for help with sexual function, support for prostate health, or just want to take a more preventative approach, you’ll walk away with real tools and insight.
